Liberty Fellowship Vision 2025

LIBERTY FELLOWSHIP VISION 2025

Liberty Fellowship Church is an Assemblies of God church, strategically located in the Central Valley of California and was established in 1923 in the city of Atwater, California, a multi-ethnic and diverse community. Atwater is the former home of the United States Castle Air Force Base, and near the University of California Merced.

Liberty Fellowship is a traditional Pentecostal church that gives priority to the Bible as the complete and adequate guide for our beliefs and way of  living. We adhere to the 16 Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God, also known as the Statement of Fundamental Truths. Of these 16 doctrines, four are essential to the church's core mission and they provide the common basis for our unity and fellowship. The 4 Core Doctrines are:

1.   Salvation through Jesus Christ (Rom.10:13-15; Eph. 2:8; Titus 2:11; 3:5-7).

2.  The Baptism in the Holy Spirit with the initial physical evidence of speaking with other tongues (Lk. 24:49; Acts 1:8; 2:1-4; Mk. 16:17).

3.   Divine Healing through the Atonement (Isa. 53:4-5; Mt. 8:16-17; James 5:14-16; 1 Pet. 2:24).

4.  The Blessed Hope (1 Cor. 15:51-52; 1 Thess. 4:16-17; Titus 2:13).

The primary purpose of Liberty Fellowship Church is to "seek and save the lost" (Lk. 19:10). Every effort should be made to retain new believers, and to disciple them as followers of Jesus Christ. Leading them into the Baptism of the Holy Spirit who empowers and equips each recipient with spiritual gifts. Consequently, it is the role of church leadership to assimilate believers and provide opportunities for service and ministry within the church and for evangelistic outreach.

Taking into consideration these fundamental principles Liberty Fellowship Church is committed to the following L.I.B.E.R.T.Y. vision statement:

Loving God and Loving People

Inspiring corporate praise and worship

Being baptized in the Holy Spirit

Equipping God's people for ministry and service

Reaching the world by means of evangelism and missions

Teaching the Word of God through sound doctrine

Yielding to the Lordship of Jesus Christ

By implementing these fundamental statements and biblical expressions of truth we live out the reality of our faith. Thus, our vision is incarnational by making Jesus Christ visible in us. Christ in us is more than a theological concept, but a lived experience revealing His love, grace, and mercy to others -- making visible the invisible incarnationally (Gal. 2:20; Col. 1:27; Eph. 3:17; John 14:20).
